The combination of war in Europe, geo-economic tensions between major powers, technological acceleration and disruptions in supply chains has created an environment of systemic uncertainty that directly affects the security, the economy and the strategic autonomy of States. In this scenario of global fragmentation, the European Union remains one of the few areas where democratic stability, social dignity and quality of life remain the backbone of identity. But this position is more fragile than it seems.
